Gregory A. Yager FAIA

Senior Planner, Urban Design

Gregory Yager, FAIA, HKIUD, NCARB is committed to strengthening our cities' quality by creating mixed-use developments, human-centric urban environments, districts and community plans. For over 40 years, his global professional experience spans continents and cultures, including the US, Canada, the UK, China, UAE and Saudi Arabia.


Gregory began his career studying in the Architecture Technology Program at Orange Coast College in California. After graduating from Kansas State University with his Bachelor of Architecture degree, he returned to California, where he worked as a project manager and prepared construction documents for several projects in Southern California. He returned to study at the University of Minnesota to obtain his Master’s of Architecture and Urban Design.


He taught introductory architectural graphics and design studios at Kansas State University while also coordinating the Design Discovery Program for students interested in pursuing careers in Architecture and related design professions. He also taught graphics and drafting at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and the UCLA Extension in Los Angeles.


He returned to private practice with RTKL Associates / Arcadis in 1984. He grew through the ranks from staff to ultimately become the Senior Vice President responsible for managing and coordinating the Planning and Urban Design Studio for this global company. His office experience includes Baltimore, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Washington DC, London and Shanghai. Having spent most of his career working abroad, his experience in multicultural environments has been an asset to his ability to work across time zones and cultures.


Gregory is a licensed Architect in the State of California and a member of the NCARB. He is currently applying for his Architectural License in Ontario and Saskatchewan through the NCARB.
