YORKWOOD CONDOS

We are the architects for Yorkwood Condos at 2839 Jane Street, a 15,000 sq.ft mixed-use building located at the intersection of two major streets. The design of the building was inspired by the intersection to create two masses wrapped around a center mass highlighting the main entrance of the building. The slanted roof also added unique characteristics to define the roof amenities while creating a nice shaded outdoor BBQ area.

The building is 12 stories high, consisting of 171 residential condo units of one to three bedrooms, indoor amenities on the second floor and a playground on the roof with outdoor amenities. The building also contains eight retail outlets on the ground floor. The substructure has three underground levels for vehicle and bike parking and allocated locker space.

The building will offer unprecedented views of the Downsview Park neighborhood. The first redevelopment of its kind in the Jane and Finch area of Toronto, the project is expected to revitalize the neighborhood and be a catalyst for further redevelopment.
