Mr. Aqeel was the principal architect for 222 Albert Street. This 12-story condominium building is located in the Northdale area of Waterloo. The building design is inspired by the context of the site and its environmental factors.

The building facades vary and respond to the sun, wind and views of the city depending on their exposure. A 3-story glazed volume facing University Avenue becomes a moving screen to engage the pedestrian and vehicular traffic in motion.

The building was the awarded the 2017 Concrete Award for best design in the Pre-Cast category at Construct Canada.
